it was mid-january when i bought the Some People Have Real Problems album--an impulse buy while waiting for my coffee at a Starbucks in DC. thank goodness, i wasn't dissapointed. its really hard to describe Sia's music, and her voice--truly an instrument itself--lends to the soulful/indie/folky sound that i've grown to love.
i'm really dissapointed i missed this performance on David Letterman since all I seem to watch nowadays is late night TV. someone sent the link via Msngr to me, so *thanks!*
at first glance, i thought she was wearing some weird gloves, but her hands are painted themselves. enjoy...
even kanye (or his ghost blogger?) gave her props today. i love this song especially because its SO honest about relationships. (sometimes you just dont wan't to fight because you've drained all the living blood of me! hahaha..just kidding.) and it still manages to be positive at the same time.

there goes the roster.
so fourth of july came and went. i realized just now the holiday passed without my taking any pictures. this is strange because everyone knows i document everything. it was a weird mix of parring with old and new friends. another reminder that the social circles of D.C. are slowly closing in on me. over all it was a nice break from work, and my usual running around.
im not the ultra-patriotic type, but i did hit up a few BBQ's and had some apple pie. U Street was especially packed over the weekend because it was the 25th celebration of the Ethiopian Soccer Tournament. wish i knew more about that to expound.
i was updating some friends on my love life, and how i've recently thrown out my roster...by that, i mean my prospects, my team, whatever you'd like to name it. guys and girls both have it. i got every reaction raging from "are you ready for this?" to "im not even acknowledging that situation to shit on it".
one day they'll overstand.
