its 'EFFIN collldddddd...

the mid atlantic area is seeing snow again for our winter season. this is a problem. for me, snow--in and of itself--i have no real problem with. its what the fluffy stuff comes with that bothers me. thankfully, this area's weather tends to be quite mild around winter time. i dont know how people live in Alaska. i really can't fathom 6 months of literal darkness. most know that i've self diagnosed myself with SAD. every winter, its something else..but usually what gets me is the fact that i

just. cant. warm. up.

im talking cold fingers. cold toes. cold in my bones...so im probably anemic. whatever. the only thing i look forward to when it cools down, is the change of fashion. i loooove boots, especially. ive sorted out my winter clothing and actually (gladly) gave some of them away. im pretty sure there's some correlation between this and feelings of loneliness. which settles in almost every winter for me.

in any case..my bed is also cold as hell and i cant warm that up either :(

motivation is a hell of a thing.

12. Beyonce - Diva - Dj L-Gee
i know for me, it can come in any shape or form. it may have been the way you looked at me.
or that tone you use when you think you know better than me.

whatever the case, the match is now officially under my ass. and i have you to thank for that!

work out plan

i took up jogging daily.

im not joking..today is day 2 and it feels great. none of my sneakers were purchased with the intent for excercise or physical activity of any kind..this may pose a problem later, but i should be able to fix that soon.

while jogging, i tried to clear my mind of the things that have been plaguing it recently. i semi succeeded, and for me thats an accomplishment. its hard to turn my brain off sometimes. i even had images of Kanye's Work Out Plan video come to mind as i was struggling to breath on my eliptical machine.

looks like jogging just may be my new therapy!

i had my ipod with me this morning and was listening to this song, which is quite fitting for the ladies! haha hopefully i can keep this up...*crossing fingers* and i should, because i'm obviously lacking any other physical activity in my life.

i'll keep wishing

times are tough:

sometimes i feel like the woman in this famous picture.

Dorothea Lange // Immigrant Woman circa 1936.

THANK YOU GOD i dont have 7 kids hanging off me (and dont look it either). seriously, i wake up every morning and if i forget to pray i still dont forget to thank the lord jesus that i dont have any pickney!! sorry, i digress...situations have been tense enough, and in times like these like in the Great Depression, a good and healthy distraction is all we need!

the smart thing to do during these times is to plan..and hope and dream for a better day. for me, online window shopping is at an all time high. a girl can only hope and dream for a better day when i can afford this little piece of heaven.

aaahh..still broke and fabulous...

nothin goin on but the rent!

the wall street journal reports that everyone and their mama is losing it. im no different..my last day at work was friday.

so im doing what everyone else is:
- updating the resume
- checking my ING savings account religiously (just in case my wayward father/fairy god-mother left a gift for me and didnt tell me)
- window shopping and taking note of sales and coupons
- aaannd, finally, jumping ship

in many ways, a lot of people are tapping out as a means of survival. whether its selling stocks or pulling out of costly investments. a lot of people dont agree with this last option. some plan to buckle down and weather the storm. for some, its the only option and thats fine. i made the decision to move before these current events really hit close to home as it has.

im moving to a place that some may consider paradise (..and others have completely opposite and more negative sentiments). for me, it may not be paradise, but it is home. despite the eminent struggles ahead, i know i'll be happier there.

ugh.

so i need to stop being a vagina

and face the music.
